David Ankerson hails from Northern Ireland. He was educated at London University, the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst and the London Business School. He had a distinguished Army career and has held senior and Board positions in both Whitbread and Grand Metropolitan. He masterminded and led a major company's turnaround into a highly successful profit making operation. Under the title 'Extraordinary Performance from Ordinary People' he teaches the case at the London Business School.

Today he leads many change programmes in large corporations and participates in many of the Incite™ Teams outdoor team development initiatives. He lives with his wife, his two children, his dog, his books and an email terminal in Hertfordshire, England.
