The cycle of each generation of new recruits brings with it new challenges for the leadership in any organisation. One of today’s greatest challenges is the ability of any organisation to create and foster a rewarding environment. The expectations of new generations are stressing organisations to provide something new and different from only a few years ago. The level of dissatisfaction within organisations is considerable, even at a time when one would expect people to withstand a lot of difficulties in the contentment they remain employed. Maybe in the past this sort of compliance would occur; but no longer. Leaders should ignore this growing groundswell of discontent at their peril.
