"Companies must seek change. The restless tensions of competition demand constant organisational shifts and realignments. Successful change is built on foundations of visionary leadership, urgency and direction.

The customer remains centre stage throughout. Only few achieve success. We have fought the battles of change with the best …..and won."

Change

Organisations are continually restructuring, changing their architecture or realigning departments and functions. The world of business is for ever in a state of flux and organisations have to ‘shake down' in the best operational format they can in order to deliver the very best products and services in a growing and often hostile marketplace. It is often not simple to design or transition to another ‘shape'. Often new recruits to the organisation create cultural impacts and move boundaries which can be both positive and negative.

Against this backdrop there are many missed opportunities and broken relationships. Creating effective change is our key specialism.

Corporate Values

We all need a reference point: whether it is within the company in which we work, the social group to which we belong or indeed the family to which we return most days when the work is done. The Values represent ‘what we believe in' and are at the core of our motivations and charge the dynamos within us. Often it is when these are impinged upon or threatened in any way that we are prepared to divert our scarce energies to protect – a typical instinct. However, this process can often be demotivational. When we are forced into this situation it is likely to be a stressful experience and the net result will be poor performance from individuals and teams.

It is all very fine believing in ‘'motherhood' values, but it is what we observe and experience on a daily basis which forms our judgements about people and their motives. Behaviour is there for all to see whether in the sense of an email, the tone of a voice on the phone or a face-to-face encounter. We will all make judgements and upon these idiosyncratic judgements comes the kernel of our response.

So the behaviours, for most of the time at least, have to be aligned to the Values. This is often not easy when operating across geographies, time zones, cultures, languages and many more diverse forces. Our intentions have to be clear and we have to create tribal ‘rules' so that the new order can be maintained and allowed to grow and flourish. The model looks like this:

It may be fine to have the most elaborate and impressive set of core Values, but if they are not supported by strong, positive and thriving behaviours there will be a kick back of cynicism and growing inertia which will impact adversely upon performance like a virus.

Our studies and services have been developed over the years to examine these challenges and help to improve the effectiveness of departments, functions and companies overall. Only when the organisation is ‘'joined up' can it compete with the best of the market.

Turnaround Strategies

Sadly too many companies are facing the wrong way – they have become uncompetitive by looking to the past for their strengths and internalising the issues.   The market and more importantly the customer has long been forgotten.

In our turnaround work we operate as the catalyst for change producing models, workshops and other initiatives to re-invigorate the business and reorientate it towards the future.

Growth Strategies

Growth is more than just adding resources. It requires spotting a gap in the market and setting a course to leverage the opportunities with vigour and speed. This means that the organisational design will need to be re-cast and new alignments will have to be developed. New processes will have to be introduced quickly and effectively so that the organisation does not stall. More value has to drop to the bottom line and the ‘'fitness' of the business has to be paramount. There are no prizes for becoming slow and lethargic as the organisational balloon expands. Many companies simply cannot handle expansion either strategically, geographically or organisationally.

One of our key specialisms is the ability to set strategies for growth through adopting well proven models and approaches to lead the change and drive the business forward, the costs down and the top line focus. The danger is to get into a stall at ‘top of climb' when there is still some height to be achieved. Incite™ has led many growth strategies in some large corporations across the globe.
